someday soon!
I am a Canadian citizen who moved to the US when I was a kid. So I've never had a paying job in Canada, so I never paid taxes there. I do have a SI# but of course when I try to log on to get a notice of assessment, I have nothing, nor will it let me even log in since I haven't filed in the past 2 years.

Instead, I included a short letter explaining what I said above as well as my 2015 US Tax return.

Do you think will suffice?

I am just sponsoring my wife, so I don't even think my financials matter, but I don't want our application to be returned.

since you have been living outside of canada, you are not a resident for tax purposes, therefore an NOA is not required. yes, you can submit your tax information from the us and a letter of explanation.
