Hello,
In my country notaries do not sign on documents from another language, so when I got the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union to them we filled out and signed the English form, but the notary signed only on the translation.
Has anyone else been in the same situation where the notary couldn't sign on the original, English, form?
I know the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union is optional but I really want to have this ok since the other evidence we have for common law is not exactly overwhelming.
