Hi friends,

Could seniors please answer my questions below?

I am from India and am working in the UK. My company doesn't give the reference letter as per CIC guidelines. I know that we can get a notarised reference letter from colleagues/supervisor.

1. I have moved to a new job but I will claim points only for the first work experience (>3 years). Do I need to fill the work experience of my new company in pre ITA form or shall I skip it there and fill that experience in post ITA form where we need to give our 10Y history?
2. Is it possible to submit a notarised reference letter from a colleague from previous company in India (we were in the same team but different locations and I was reporting to him as well) - it may be cheaper and easier for me. I can supplement this with a copy of mine and my colleagues ID card, my salary slips, reference letter etc.

Many Thanks for you help in advance.

1 - You can skip it, and fill it later in your personal history section. You could even write a letter of explanation saying how you didn't include that work experience for X reason and thus, not claiming points for it.

2 - Tough one, I'll let someone else answer this :P

Cheers and +1 me bro ;)

- I have done this and made it a point to cover this in my Expression of Interest stating - A reference letter has been provided as the company does not issue specific details pertaining to the work in lieu of information policy regulations and guidelines.

Look around the forum there is a thread about this somewhere here, many of us have gone this way as the company/HR will not give you specific letters.

Good luck

Many Thanks for you help in advance.
