For one of my spouse's reference letters, we had to get it on plain paper from Ex-CEO/Founder since the company has closed down after my spouse had left. The reference letter has all necessary IRCC details like duration, hours/week, salary, job responsibilities etc. The founder has since started another organization and he provided his new company email address along with contact number. I have couple of questions regarding this:
1. Please confirm if we should get this letter notarized as is generally suggested for reference letters on plain paper.
2. If yes, what should the notarization stamp be? It cannot be "Certified True Copy", so what stamp should I ask the Notary to put?

If you want to get it notarized the stamp can be something like sworn before me on 11-11-2018 etc

Thanks a lot! Got the notarization done with the "Sworn to before me" stamp :)
Hi samikdg,

can you pls help me understand on this notarization. I am planning to get reference letter from my manager with his email id emp id and phone number in plain paper.

So how to get i notarized? shuld that content be typed in a legal green paper again and signed by my manager along with the stamp paper in the front?

and is there any other content to be mentioned in the paper like affidavit?

Please advice.
