Hi All,

Can someone please clarify which document need to be notarized. I have all the documents ready. I put great effort to get all documents from various authorities. Bu I am confused whether I should notarize all photocopies. As per my understanding follwing notarized photocopies need to be submitted : -

1.Birth certificate photocopy ( 3 Pages)
2.Photocopies of ALL PAGES of passport ( 150 Pages)
4.Photocopies degree and post degree certificates ( 10 Pages)
5.Original Transcripts of degree and post degree. It is sealed.
6.Professional certificate eg Chartered accountant certificate. ( 5 pages)
7.Appointment letter, confirmation letter, promotion letter, salary slips, resignation letter, appreciation letters from current and previous companies.Only few salary slips selected ( 50 pages)

So roughly 200 + documents I have to make xerox copy and get it notarized. I have muttiple passport for all family members. It is very inconvenient and costly as well.

If someone guide me I will thanksfull to you.

Yes, all photocopy documents needs to be notarized. Lawyers are cheap to notarize documents. Regarding passport you can photo copy multiple pages in a single page. That will save you a lot.

I never submitted notarized photocopies, but I passed the first screening during the CIO eligibility review. I don't know what will happen in VO. But they never asked me to notarize any photocopies or documents.

I don't want to confuse you but this is my experience. God bless to your application.

I guess it depends on the Visa Office. Different VO's have different requirements. Make sure you read the guidelines in the booklet for your VO, and send the package accordingly.

Good Luck to you.

P.S my VO is London, and I don't think ALL photocopies need to be notarized. Atleast, the guidelines don't ask for notarized copies.
