Notarised employment contract

Hi everybody,

My employer is a fast food multi-chain in United Kingdom with nearly 900 restaurants. The HR Department did provide me a reference letter signed by the HR Referencing team but declined to provide notarised contracts as they do not have the contracts anymore and also the fact that they don't notarise even the reference letter detailing my 6 years of Restaurant Management experience.

Currently I am in US. I spoke to the HR and the lady said if the Canadian Immigration authorities do call --they will be happy to verify again.
What should I do? Will it be a problem for the Canadian FSW application.

Please advise,

Godbless,
Varma

Don't you have a copy of your contract. If yes, then notarize that.
If you don't have your contract, you should still apply but expect greater scrutiny from CIC. If this wasn't the case, many frauds will also apply without contracts. You should submit a copy of the mail/email from the company stating that they don't have the contracts anymore. That might help. Good luck.

Rupeshhari, in general I havent seen requirements for job contract, as CIC only requires, Reference letters from your current and past employers stating XYZ all general requirements. Follow to OP, is that mandatory to submit contract while OP has reference letter and even his company is ready to verify too?

Perhaps it is only buffalo that requires job contract or perhaps they are not strict on it as long as one has all the information on their employment letter. Here is the requirement from Buffalo:

7. WORK EXPERIENCE
For you and your spouse or common-law partner:
• notarized employment contracts from your present and past employers,
accompanied by an English or French translation
• original and up-to-date letters of reference from your past and current employers.
Letters must be written on company letterhead and show the company’s full
address, telephone and fax numbers, and be stamped with the company’s official
seal.
Letters must include all of the following information:
• the specific period of your employment with the company
• the positions you have held during the period of employment and the time spent
in each position
• your main responsibilities in each position
• your total annual salary plus benefits
• the signature of your immediate supervisor or the personnel officer of the
company
• a business card of the person signing
If you cannot provide a reference from your current employer, provide a
written explanation.

Thanks Rupeshhari. This is what I was thinking that its look like visa office specific requirements only. So I assume as there is no option "Or" between Contract and Reference letter term, all aplicants from US must submit Notarized contract too.

I think the OP is in the US so he might have to hand it in, but maybe they are not so strict about it especially if it is a big famous company.

I see the requirement is there for New Delhi too but the above message says its okay not to send it in.
