I broke my leg while in canada visiting because of everything i missed my extension they kicked back the letter saying i had 90 days to file for restoration of status. Now my doctor told me to try to return to the usa to try to get physical therapy because i couldnt get it here so i did. a few weeks later i returned back to canada for my appointments no problem. Now my confusion is this because i did not yet file for restoration of status but left and came back does that reset my status?

I just automatically assumed it did since they let me back in so when my new 6 months was about to be up i filed an extension and they kicked it back to me saying refused because i did not file a restoration of status and that i need to leave immediately. Is this an error on my part? I am still under my orthopedic surgeons care here in canada so i need to be able to get to appointments with him. Thank you for any help

Yes - your status has been reset.

so how do i go about getting them to take the removal order off of me?
Sorry - it wasn't clear that you had received a removal order.

It's confusing from you post to understand what happened when - but it sounds like CIC may think that you never left Canada. I would either leave Canada (this is the better option) or speak with an immigration lawyer if you want to try to stay.

There's no one you can call.

However you could try emailing the visa office that handled your extension application to request that they reopen your file. You'll need to provide proof that you left Canada and then re-entered.

It would be better to have actual proof of your departure / return. Do you have airline tickets? Any passport stamps / visitor records?
