Not received T4a and T4e

Hi I am waiting for CRA to send me T4a and T4e. My wife was receiving EI/Maternity benefits untill Jan 09,2015 but now they have stopped because SIN expired on that date. But we will receive Work permit by end of April only after that we can extend SIN. My question was that will she receive the unpaid benefits after getting extended SIN ?
Another question Am I able to do tax file of her even though SIN is expired ?

After getting new work permit you need to update SIN & update the same info to service canada & request for old unpaid benefits. they would be reviewing again & except two weeks amount (review period) they pay.
Yes you can file her tax even though SIN is expired.
