Not received my GIC Details (9 Business days are over)

I have submitted my GIC application nearly 8 business days ago and still i didnt receive any account details yet.

Already i have GIC account details which i opened for Jan 2013 Intake and due to personal reasons i counldnt join. Again i applied for May 2013 intake and i send them the mail asking whether i can transfer the money to the same account and they asked me to submit the new application.

This is the mail i sent to them:

"Dear Sir/Madam,

This is with the reference to account number xxxxxxx in the name of xxxxxxx.

I was supposed to join the course during January 2013 which was postponed due to personal reasons.

I have decided to join the course during summer and have confirmed admission letter for the same. As i have mentioned about my postponement of joining the course, please advice on any procedural changes (if any) for transferring the money regarding my admission.

Please find attached approved admission letter for your reference."

This is the response i received:

"Further to your query, you will have to resubmit a fresh application with all the documents once again as you have not deposited any funds and do not hold a GIC.

GIC applied using only the NEW APPLICATION FORM will be accepted.

Before emailing the Application Form please read the Application Guide carefully on our website at http://www.scotiabank.com/ca/en/0,,5698,00.html"

After that i have submitted new application. There are only two more days to go.

What do you guys think? Is there any problem with my application?

Q. I have opened a Scotiabank Student GIC Program account with you for an earlier study permit application, but never funded the account. Can I use the same Investment Account for the next school term?

A. Yes, you can use your existing Investment Account number to wire funds to your GIC. Please refer to the wire transfer instructions provided to you previously.

A. Yes, you can use your existing Investment Account number to wire funds to your GIC. Please refer to the wire transfer instructions provided to you previously.

I thought the same but to confirm i sent the mail to them and that was the reply i got. I forwarded the response to my consultatnt and she told me to submit with new application. Last time i received the details within four business days.

i look at ur email it is not a good email it is very complicated and not easy to understand in first look .u should send simple one line email and write line which is written in appication guide. And ya last time i also got it in 3 days but now they r writing to wait 10 working day in their automatic reply. And they bul*sh** bank taking $100 .

i look at ur email it is not a good email it is very complicated and not easy to understand in first look .u should send simple one line email and write line which is written in appication guide. And ya last time i also got it in 3 days but now they r writing to wait 10 working day in their automatic reply. And they bul*sh** bank taking $100 .

I will wait until tomo then i will send the follow up mail. I called them and they asked me to call tomorrow at 7.00 AM to check the application status. This is really frustrating.

I have gone through their recent application guide and found this. It seems like i need to submit new application.

"Q. I have opened a Scotiabank Student GIC Program account with you for an earlier study permit application, but never funded the account. Can I use the same Investment Account for the next school term?

A. You will be required to re-apply for the Scotiabank Student GIC Program by submitting a new application (please complete the most recent GIC Application Form found on our Scotiabank StartRight website). Our processing team will confirm that you are cleared to transfer in funds by sending you an encrypted email with your existing Investment Account number to wire funds ($10,100 CAD) to your GIC. Please refer to the wire transfer instructions once they are emailed to you."

I have submitted my application on Feb 21, 2013(today is the 9th business day) and still i didnt receive any details from them. Since i already have the Investment Account Number which is created for Jan 2013 intake and i have been requested to re-Submit the application for clearance of fund transfer for May 2013 Intake.

I have sent the followup mail yesterday and still didn't receive any replies.

What i need to do now? Help me guys. I am starting to worry now..

i've sent my application on 27th feb took dem 2 days to respond with the account no..i've wired the money on 4th march n got the receipt yesterday

Yes i got the automated message. I dont know why its taking too long. Also, I have sent the followup mail(on March 4) and they replied(on March 5) me that "Your application is in process". Its been 10 business days over and i am really worried now.

Previously it took 4 days for them create the account (for Jan 2013 intake). Since i am joinig for May 2013 intake i dont know the reason why they are taking long time to give the clearance for fund transfer.
