Someone live in US and wants to immigrate Canada but did not paid Tax in US (property Tax and income Tax) Could not paying Tax affect the person sponsorship?

doubtful. never heard of a spousal pr applicant being rejectd because of failure to pay tax in their home country. i doubt CIC will even know about it.

Has that person been charged of tax evasion by the US govt? That will certainly impact that person's ability to immigrate to Canada.

He will need to fix that at some point (not for immigration purposes - but just in general). He'll need to file back-taxes and then ensure he files US income taxes on an annual basis (especially once he's living in Canada). The US is really starting to go after Americans who live outside of the US but fail to file income taxes.

This is true if he is a US citizen or long time green card holder. Short term green card holders (less than 8 years) who renounce will not have this obligation. Nor do people in the US on any other type of residency (temp worker, student, visitor, etc).

Yes - very good point. I was assuming he was a citizen.

Thanks for reply :) . Well he is illgal. He has SSN . He used to marry US citizen. Then they divorced in few months so he has SSN. But did not pay his Taxes. Any advice will be helpfulll

The fact that he has an SSN means he had some legal residency at one point. Was he in the US on a temporary work permit in the US that expired and is now overstaying? Without more details on your husband, we cannot provide any helpful advice.

He is illeagal . He came on student visa and got married with US citizen. Then before he became PR they divorced.
