Hi Experts,

I have work experience from dec 2013 to dec 2014 and don't have a T4 yet for 2014 year.
I have T4 from 2013 year.

I can attach all the pay stubs but in the Checklist it also says to add the Employment record letter if any.
As I will get the Reference letter from the SUpervisor about my work is it necessary to get the Record of employment as well ????

Please advise..

Thanks
Harman

yup just attach pay stubs and RoE is not mandatory but additional option, just send T4 and NoA once you get them after you have AoR

Attach your most recent pay stub and a note explaining that you don't yet have a t4 or noa but will provide it as soon as you receive it. This will be fine.

You do need t4 but it can be provided later when it's received.

Actually no, you don't need T4 but it's preferred by CIC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.pdf point 10: T4 and NOA OR 'a sufficient combination of other supporting documentation, which could include copies of a record or letter of employment from the employer in Canada, work contracts and pay stubs for the period(s) of work experience you identify in your application.'.

Are you the type of person that:

A) Looks left/right to ensure the road is clear before stepping out?
B) The type of person who just walks out and hopes for the best?

CIC want the T4/NOA. If you trail through the threads for the last 3 years, you are going to see that under pretty much all circumstances when they aren't provided, CIC request them.

If you provide them, you prevent the potential of any issues with your application. if you decide to provide random supporting documentation instead, you are potentially delaying your application for no reason.

As someone who knows lots of people who have completed the process, and someone who has been through the process, which included an issue with the T4/NOA, I do wish some OP's would refrain from arguing just for the sake of it.

"copies of your T4 tax information slips and your Notice of Assessment (NOA) issued by the Canada Revenue
Agency for the period(s) of work experience you identify in your application (CIC preferred)"

But I insist that CIC doesn't say that it's mandatory to send T4 slips to apply for CEC. We aren't talking about what's the best thing to do, we are talking about wether it is or it isn't a requirement to send T4 slips with the CEC application.

You like fighting for no reason, eh?

I'm here to give people sound advice, and that's why they come here.

Telling someone they don't need to provide something that is going to be requested from CIC isn't sound advice.

A ROE (where available) and most recent pay stub showing earnings to date doesn't provided CIC with all the information they need.

I've told the OP to provide the pay stub, to provide a note saying they will provide T4 & NOA when available - that's sound advice. Telling the OP that they don't need to provide this goes against CIC's process for the last three years and is anything but sound advice.

So, you may think I like to argue for no reason - but you are wrong.

Nonsense.

I'm pointing out the facts. If you don't provide the document - they are going to request it. If you wait for them to request it, the application will have been delayed.

That provision exists for people who are unable to provide the required documents.

E.g. Someone who started working in June 2013 - June 2014. This person would only be able to provide a T4/NOA for 2013 but the tax documents would not be available for 2014.

For this reason, CIC has no option but to accept other supporting paperwork. But in the event that the T4/NOA is available, they want ti see it.

I am agree with you.

pay stub is temporary fixing of CEC application because it doesn't prove that you have paid the taxes to CRA.

For example, in past, many applicants have rejected b'cas their reference letter doesn't match annual salary with T4/NOA net income. Having to said that before VO makes any decision, they will verify your T4/NOA net income not - pay stub.

However, we can submit the pay stub with CEC application with explanation note that we don't have T4/NOA as of now and we can submit later on once AOR will get.

Hope this will make sense.
