Not enough proof of ties ?

Hi,

My best friend would like to visit me for 2 months this summer (daily visits alone around my place for 3 weeks and 3 weeks of hiking/wild camping in the Rockies Mountains with me during my holidays).

He is living in France since he is young but his passport is Algerian. I would like to make sure that we are doing everything we can to increase his chance to get the visa.

The problem is his situation. He does not have a job, does not own a house, does not have a child/spouse, does not have funds (I will pay for his expenses). So basically, he does not have a lot of proof that he will go back in France.
The only documents I can think of right now are the following:
  • A proof that he has a bank account opened in France
  • A proof that he is renting a place in France
  • A document that proves that his family/friends are living in France
  • A proof that he started to renew his visa to stay in France
  • A proof that he is also in the process of becoming a French citizen
  • A proof of his wisdom teeth removal appointment after his visit in Canada
  • His return flight ticket
Is it enough ?
Do you have any idea of proof that we can include?

I have a pretty good situation on my side. I am a permanent resident in Canada with a full-time job in IT in the same company for 3 years.
I will give to my friend the following documents:
  • A notarized invitation letter that says that I will pay all his expenses and that he will stay at my place
  • A letter from my employer that proves my annual salary
  • A letter from my landlord that proves my rent amount and my "no dependent in charge" situation (I am renting a part of her house)
  • My latest T4/paystubs and a bank confirmation that proves that I have a good amount of saving and no loan
  • My immigration status

Do you think it is enough ?
Any advice ?

Thank you for your help!

What's his status in France?

His status in France is similar to the Canadian permanent residence but it's a period of 10 years instead of 5 years. He is renewing it for 10 years and he is also in the process of becoming a French citizen (he is almost at the end of the process).
