Not able to Renew USA visa need to postpone landing date for canada any way

Hi all

We got our canada PR stamped passport back in last week with the landing date is 8 August 2016.

we have some complex situation for us. If we goes out of USA we need to renew our USA visas and currently we cant renew it.

any one please guide us is there any mean to postpone landing date till 2017? (My medical was done in oct 2015)

Hi

No, you cannot postpone landing. If you don't land before your COPR expires, it will be void and you will need to start the entire PR application process over again.

You can land in Canada and return back to US within few days (i think for which you dont need US valid visa) and ask someone to send your PR cards to go back in 2017. I think few did like this as per few post a little while ago.

I want to visit canada with my family for first time landing .i am planning to go by road from USA (virginia state)

can any one guide me with below questions

1. will USA driving licence will work in Canada for short trip 1 or 2 week?

2. which route is batter to enter in canada and return to USA by road? i want to go in Toronto from USA (Virginia) guide me any better route to travel with family and kids.


3. i want to take my personal car during Travel will it work? if yes any specific car related documents required to carry?


guide me with above questions or if am missing any important information to ask .

take it or leave it.
land on/before 8th august 2016 or loose ur PR.no two ways about it.
for your US visa, its better you explain why you can not renew it so that we help.
but if you do not want to explain in d forum, talk to an immigration lawyer

1. Yes.

2. Try Google.

3. Yes, you can take your car. However, I believe you will need to show you are returning to the US and so will not be importing the car at that time.
