Hello All,
I have just received an Invitation to apply for the Federal Skills Program. I am the primary applicant and have a minor child who I have included in the application. My husband does not want to immigrate to Canada as yet and wants me to settle down there first. He has a running small business that he does not want to shut down currently. I wanted suggestions if I should still include him in the application or not.
Will my application get rejected if my husband is not included in the application.Offcourse I am going to mention his details but just not include him as an applicant.TIA

You have mentioned that u received an ITA so ur husband is already included in the application. I feel u should file ur eAPR with ur husband and post receiving PR he can come with u for landing and stay for short time till u receive PR cards and he can go back.

Lets see what others say

It's a possibility. I think it's the fact that he can't stay long abroad in the first place.

You have to include him as an applicant - however you'll indicate that he is non-accompanying. He will have to take and pass the medical and also background / security checks.

He doesnt have to stay long abroad. He can basically land and fly back the next day even before getting his PR card. If he decides to come back, they will issue him PR travel document as he didnt get his card after landing. Point is, since he has to do his medicals and police checks regardless, it only makes sense to keep him as accompanying.
Good luck
