My Daughter who is 21, does not want to live in Canada with me she is a UK citizen as am I .. I am being sponsored by my Canadian husband ..We are signing a waiver. to say we will never sponsor her to live here .Does she still have to have a criminal and Medical check ?. Because i dont think she will do it !

Since she is dependent child, she is supposed to have background and medicals done, weather she is coming with you or not... but you can't force someone to do something they don't want to. My oldest son is 24 and married w/children I included him on my application as my son but I didn't submit any paperwork for him since he wasn't dependent I wasn't sure if I had to and I know he isn't going to want to come up here to live visiting is ok but he hates the cold LOL anyways just put in your letter that even tho your daughter is considered dependent she has expressed her wishes not to leave the UK and doesn't wish to do background and medicals for you have her sign off on the paper as well this just backs up what you are telling them. but list her as your daughter.

Ask her directly if she would consent to the medical and police check. The police check is no big deal in any case, and the medical is not a full medical, which might be too invasive for her tastes. It usually just involves a chest x-ray, blood work, and a few questions (though you should ask the doctor doing the exam beforehand if he/she does anything else - a few do do a pelvic exam; if the answer is yes, and that is a problem, go to someone else, because most don't do a pelvic exam.)
I'm saying this simply because it is a lot easier to include a dependant child on the application (even as non-accompanying) than to try to convince the visa officer that you really do not want to include her.

Do not assume that your daughter will not do it and sign a waiver just to avoid dealing with the situation. Ask her and tell her you will what is necessary to have her examined (i.e., pay for any costs etc.). If she refuses make sure you have evidence of the refusal. In some cases it is not as easy as just signing a waiver.
