You should provide a detailed explanation for non-accompanying spouse...I am in Canada and my spouse is in overseas. I am thinking to file alone for me and declare spouse as non accompanying. What are the risks of applying as non accompanying spouse? Can someone share their experience?
Additional LOE will be an advantage where you can explain the situation better.do I need to just update in reason section or need to add it in LOE as well? I am thinking to give that she is having family commitments and will join later.
First of all, these kind of cases are very rare... Trust me, no-one is playing with IRCC like this. You never know, what IRCC can surprise you with.Hello Everyone,
**Long Message Alert**
I have a complicated scenario and would appreciate your response.
I was trying for PR for last few years but was failing to get desired score in IELTS. When I achieved 8777, my CRS was around 463 but CRS draws were too high (above 468). So I lost hope and decided to apply for student visa.
I got study permit in 2021 and flew to Canada in April. However my IELTS score was still active and I was surprised to receive PNP invitation when my CRS was 457 (non-accompanying spouse).
Now, here is my timeline (non-accompanying spouse)-
OINP Tech Draw - 13 April 2021
PNP- 23 June 2021, added 900 points to my application (CRS 457+600 = 1057)
But IELTS was about to expire on 19th July, so I reappeared. Now with new IELTS score my CRS was 999.
ITA- 8 July 2021 (PNP draw took place with CRS 760)
AOR- 30 August 2021
Medical updated- 21 September 2021
Biometrics updated- 21 September 2021
I desperately want to add my spouse in this application, but my agent is refusing to do so. I need your opinion, if I can add spouse now? if yes, how?

Talking about your application, since you received the OINP Tech Draw invitation, it was on a specific CRS, if you add your spouse, that OINP Invitation will not be valid for you.
Even though, you have 600 points already approved but those points were approved only because Ontario evaluated your application as non-accompanying spouse.
Now, you can play and get your spouse added, but dont blame the agent or IRCC for that if the result is not in your favour. It may be a grey area where your application gets approved... or it may get rejected.
There should be no problem at all afaik. Many have done the same.Hello Everyone,

Many people applied spouse non accompanying while spouse already in Canada and mentioned CRS as the reason . I think he can also mention CRS and try visitor visa for spouse so she cant visit for short duration while his PR application is in progress. If he is honest and upfront I dont think there is any reason for misrepresentation. However h might get his visitor visa rejected in worst case scenario and be asked to apply spousal sponsorship . Your thoughts Mr PreetYou should provide a detailed explanation for non-accompanying spouse...
And, in future if you would like to bring your spouse in Canada, you will need to wait for sometime for that "explanation" given above to be settled.
