Non Accompanying - Dependent Child Sponsorship - QSW with Valid CSQ

Dear All,

Seeking your support.

I am a family applicant of QSW -Quebec. Got Visa for Me & Spouse, Kid is not accompanying, so visa not received. but his name is in the COPR paper as Non Accompanying Dependent Child and he has valid CSQ.

Now by next month May mid we (Me & Spouse) moving to Quebec without kid.

Here I want to bring my kid also, what are the ways to bring him within a short period?

Options I heared
1. Sponsorship - What are the requirement for this, if sponsored person has valid CSQ and his name in the list as non accompanying.? How long it will take?, Where to began the process.

2. Visit Visa - How to process this on my current situation? Is there is any chance for rejection.?

1. You have to complete a sponsorship application. You cannot apply until you are living in Canada and must remain living in Canada while the application is processed. Expect processing times of six months or so. Application details here:

2. Your son would simply apply for a TRV. Yes - there's certain a chance the application will be refused.

First thing you might wanna check if that if your kid's QSW CSQ would work for Family Sponsorship or not. Call CIC Customer Care and ask them this question. As far as I know for Quebec Family Sponsorship you will send application to IRCC and IRCC will directly work with MIDI to get CSQ.

Processing time for dependent child from India is 9 months right now.

Requirements for you being accepted as your kid's sponsor are mentioned here:

You can apply for visitor visa for your kid and process is no different from visitor visa for adults

Thank you for your detailed response and links. I have gone through it and in that I found a separate link of sponsorship for those who live in Qubec. I am a QSW (Quebec Skilled Worker) immigrant. Initially staying in Montreal, Quebec, so I required to submit application to Quebec ministry. I have gone through Quebec immigration web portal for the identifying the sponsorship formalities. There I found two types of Application kit (Kit A & Kit B). In that my option is Kit A. but there is some important note I found in that portal.

I have to enclose a copy of the letter or email you received from the IRCC inviting you to continue your sponsorship process with the Ministère. Here I am again confused. I think I have to begin my application with IRCC only.

Ok.

Does he need a new CSQ, still my child's CSQ is valid. Then again need to wait for CSQ?

Let IRCC decide on this. Send current CSQ ( QSW one) with application and if IRCC still needs new CSQ ( Family Sponsorship one) then they will either work directly with MIDI or will send you a letter for CSQ that you will send to MIDI.
