Hello ,
I am sponsoring my husband and he has a child from his previous relationship. When we got his child's medical we sent a letter to cic that his child will not be accompanying with him so canceled her medical request.. it's been 6 months after medical done by my husband (but not by his child )since then we do not hear from cic ... Today I called cic and the automated msg said that medical have not recieved yet.

I have a question that do they need his child medical that's why it's delayed?

If the child isn’t on the application and in years from now you guys wanna sponsor that child, you will never be able to. No exceptions to that.
So try your best otherwise i think you will need an official letter to say why the child cannot be added, and notarized it. (Keeping in mind what i said, that child will never be able to be sponsored)

Thanks for your reply ... Do they accept the letter if we don't do medical of a child ??
I believe so, you can call CIC to find out, i have read of many even here who have done so, then once here change their minds and wants to sponsor them but gets denied as you are giving up that right to sponsor the child permanently
