My Barbadian husband received permanent status last fall. We listed his non accompanying daughter on the application and *included a note from the mother agreeing to do so ...with the intent the child could decide for herself.
Six months into the process, the mother came through Customs at Pearson (she, her husband and their daughter all have a different last name) with no questions asked. She did not tell him she was taking her out of school, and coming to Canada at all; long-in-short they let her speak on the phone briefly, and disappeared. We are told they are believed to be in New York, underground and the mother is going by a different name.
*Is it true there is an IRCC / CIC Enquiry Form that He can complete to determine 'if someone has applied to sponsor her' (...this would Atleast tell us if she IS in Canada. We are extremely concerned for her security if she is in the USA undocumented, and do Not want to jeopardize that ).
This has been an absolute nightmare ..my husband lost his daughter because *Our Gov't has mismanaged this entire Immigration fiasco so poorly ... they are not even Protecting Their Own anymore.
