It helps to describe the type of organization you work for - are you working in the corporate HQ in the retail industry? Every NOC has a "lead statement" that is important to consider, along with job duties/responsibilities.

Major Responsibilities:

Re-formatting the duties/responsibilities to make it easy to read:
  • Assist in Operations planning projects, perform system study and development
  • Prepare and present detailed action plan to support new and updated projects or programs and initiatives
  • Support to promote and implement new / update system, plan, programs and assist with user training
  • Evaluate and collect feedback from project users
  • Responsible for data collecting; analyze and report exceptional issues
  • Keep up to date on exceptional system matters and participate in system improvement
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by superior(s)
Some of these are not clear - for example, when you say "systems" do you mean information systems, or something else?

You suggested NOC 1221 - I don't think 1221 fits at all, based on the current list of duties. Check out 1122 or 4163.

First off, thanks for your response. Yes this is a job for HQ position of a major retail business, and I agree some of the terms are not that specific, which I think is understandable, because how specific can you expect a job description to be? This is not the final contract, but simply a hiring post instead. I can only assume that the word "system" refers to IT system where companies use to make grocery/inventory records.

And at last, interestingly, I find 1122 and 4163 not quite right for the match as most of the jobs listed there are analysts or consultants, which requires numbers of years worth of exp in the field, Im pretty sure this is more of an entry level job or sorts than something far more senior, as Im only a new graduate looking for a start of career. I doubt that they will hire students as consultants, at least I wouldnt.

Anyway thanks for your help. This is a hell of a hard task tho, finding out a perfect match. I also emailed labour market information division.ca for help. :)
