NOC/TEER for Teacher Assistant at charity and non-profit organization

Hello,

I am an international student at Trinity Western University (Langley, B.C.) and will complete my Master's degree (Education) in June 2024. I recently received a full-time teacher assistant job in a charity and non-profit organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Displays knowledge of the philosophy and teaching objectives of the program;
• Establishes and maintains rapport with students. Interacts with the students asks questions about them and shows interest. Creates a fun and safe environment. Listens, talks and shows interest in them as individuals;
• Assists classroom teachers by working with students either on an individual basis or within a small group. Checks on students and offers help if needed;
• Prepares and duplicates teaching aids and classroom material as required by the Safe Haven Program Manager;
• Maintains records and organizes resources, materials and equipment at all sites;
• Develops program resources under the direction of the classroom teacher Safe Haven Program Manager;
• Facilitates conversation circles;
• Assists in the planning of school events;
