NOC selection - S/w developer from non-computer sciences.

Hi,

I am currently working as a software developer, and NOC 2173 Main duties are matching with my job profile. However coming to education, I graduated in Production Engineering, not from Computer Sciences.

For 2171 / 2173, requirements given as :

A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.


Since my job duties are matching, can I select 2173 as my main NOC or is there any other NOC available for software developers from non-computer background education ?

Please suggest.

Hi, did you get ITA with this NOC?
I have the same problem and haven't "computer science" degree.
