Hello,

My undergrad degree is in Mechanical Engineering after which I joined an IT Company as a Systems Engineer. But my job duties listed according to the company closely matches to NOC Code 2171-- Information systems analysts and consultants. I have almost 3 years of experience with this company. It would be great if someone could help me with the below questions.

a) Since My undergrad degree is different from the educational requirements of NOC Code 2171 (this mainly involves computer science engineering), will it be a problem if I put my undergrad graduation date as date of qualification?

b) Since my Job title is a Systems Engineer, will it be a issue if I select NOC code 2171, or should I go for something else.

Plaese help.

Regards,
Jai

1. It's fine
2. You should choose NOC based on job duties, not job title. If your job matches more closely with 2171 then you should use 2171

Hi,
I have 1.5 years experience as " Deputy Manager " In a mutual fund - although my work was investment and credit analysis
I also have 1.5 years experience as analyst in investment banking
All my experience are post graduation but my first experience comes under NoC 0 as it says manager and second experience under NoC 1 . Will both be counted for my 3 years of work experience?

Or just 2 years of experience!?

Please help.
I amf difficulty in identifying the correct NOC.

I am into supply chain management and have experience in 3 companies,

1st company- Executive (Dec-2013 to Jun-2015)
• Materials planning, procure materials from vendors
• Schedule materials to manufacturing
• Production plan and schedules
• Coordinate with logistics team for dispatches

Have got the employment reference letter. Little bit mix of 0113 and 1215

2nd company- Supply chain analyst (Jun-2015 to May 2017)
• Inventory management- Safety stock planning, inventory optimization
• Process control- supply lead time variability, periods of supply
• Fill rate improvements
• Develop KPI dashboards, perform analysis etc.

Have got the employment reference letter. Little bit mix of 0113 and 1215

3rd company- Associate Manager in Supply chain (May 2017 to Present)
* Held 3 position Started as Assistant manager in 2017, Deputy Manager in 2018 & Now Associate Manager in 2019 to present

• Supply planning for finished goods
• Raw materials inventory planning
• Budget and strategic supply & inventory planning for products
• Ensure release of purchase requisitions and PO to vendors
• Coordinate with logistics for for dispatches

Yet to get reference letter

I am confused which NOC to use,
0113 NOC 0 although it says purchase managers, but it also says supply chain manager a part of it.

1215 NOC B defines supply chain, but it is more of shop floor/ operational work.

Hello! I am in the same boat and have not been able to determine my NOC. Which code did you end up using?
