NOC question

Hello everyone,

For the previous Job that I had (last working day of 2nd February 2017), the NOC MUST be 2133 as per my very own knowledge, research and degree. To clarify these matters and to get the second opinion, I wrote email to NC-NOC-CNP-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca.

They asked me all the job details, designation, job duties performed, the organization where the position was held etc. and told me that my job falls under NOC 2132.

I am now confused about the NOC to be used. Personally, NOW I would like to use NOC 2132 with the copy of email from SNC-NOC-CNP-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca so as to avoid any problems?

My NOC 2132 was defined by People at SNC-NOC-CNP-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca.

I gave them my Job description letter/duties performed, organization where I am working etc and they assigned NOC 2132 to me.

In my personal opinion I fall under NOC 2133. Shall I use NOC identified by SNC-NOC-CNP-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca with their email as a proof or shall I choose the NOC that I think fits me.

Please advise.

You can't use them as proof as they advise it's your responsibility to pick the correct noc.

A friend of mine e-mailed the same service and got the response that their job cannot be placed under any NOC . She picked one according to her own judgment and got the PR in the end. Whoever works there is not the absolute authority, so don't worry that much. Int he end it's up to the person reviewing our cases.

Thanks. In this case, will it work If I have a 50% match in the responsibilities between the NOC and the Job duties letter by my employer? Or it has to match 70 or even 100 %?

It should match as closely as possible. People have got away with 50%. Try and get a new letter leaning towards one noc or submit and hope for the best.

CIC ask that most of your duties match the noc.
