Hi All,

I am currently in process of creating my profile for express entry. I have gone through several posts on NOC, but I have a bit confusion on which NOC code to put on my application.

I have about 6 years of experience, out of which I was an Assistant Professor for 5 years at a university college. (NOC 4011). After this job I took a break and got my second full time masters degree. Currently I am working as an academic program manager where my role is to design curriculum, design the content, manage an educational program at a private company. According to me the role falls under NOC 0421 Administrators - post-secondary education and vocational training.

I would like to know which NOC should I put during my application. Is there an option to put multiple NOC? Bulk of my experience is in a different category than the current. Also if some one can guide me on the NOC for my current role.

Thank you all in advance for the help.

4011 is correct for University professor experience however you should qualify following clauses (either of it)
  • A doctoral degree in the field of specialization is required for university professors.
  • A master's degree in the field of specialization is required for university lecturers.
0421 is also good.

If this comprises of your full experience, then you can mention both NOC codes one as Primary and one as secondary.

Primary NOC should be at least 12 months of continuous work experience.

Thank you for the quick reply. I do qualify for the clauses. I have Masters degree in field of specialization. I have not completed 12 months in my current role (NOC 0421). So I think 4011 should be my primary NOC and 0421 as my secondary NOC.
