Hi Guys,

Can someone help me out please. I am currently living in Canada and I will gain 1 year work experience in August. After reaching 1 years worth of Canadian work experience I would like to teach English as a second language in Asia. Can this job be counted towards express entry as foreign work experience if this title falls under NOC B? I have always wanted to teach abroad but my Canadian immigration goal hinders my other goals so i am hoping that the experience will be counted. Can anyone offer any insight.

Thanks a lot Smiley

My partner and I did that for ten years before coming to Canada. The codes we used were 4021 for my partner, when he taught in a secondary school, and 4031, when we taught for language schools. It's NOC A. It's a great job! Have fun!

It could, if you had at least 1 year of experience, because it IS skilled. But if you can qualify using your Canadian experience, don't wait another year : )
