Hi guys.
I work for a startup as a ruby on rails developer but I also program in javascript and write html/css. Sometimes I lead small projects to implement new features in our system and may help developing specifications (usually functional/technical specs, I never create mockups or anything like that).
I would like to know whether I should use NOC type 2174 or 2175. I saw another discussion where a full-stack developer asked this question and most people told him to use 2175 (Web designers and developers). But when I read the list of duties, it sounds much more like web developer duties than programmer duties. I think 2174 (Computer programmers and interactive media developers) fits better but I'm worried that this only refers to programming client-side applications (desktop or flash applications for the browser, for example).
Does anyone have more information on this topic? Can a RoR developer (which also does some front-end programming) use NOC 2174?
Thanks.
