NOC classifications

Hi all,

I am confused about NOC classifications. With my 3 years statistic degree would I qualify as a secretary even tho if i don't have any secretary experience.

Employment requirements for secretary is:
* Completion of secondary school is usually required.
* Completion of a one- or two-year college or other program for secretaries
or
Previous clerical experience is required.

As you guys told me earlier, to be a carpenter i needed to have a carpentry certificate or 3-4 years work experience. What about if i am a secretary? :

I wouldn't worry about the pre-requisites too much.

Looking at the qualifications you pasted, they don't sound too picky..

Find out if the job is eligible for NOC list A or B.

i just don't want them to decline my application at the end of the year saying you finish math degree and you don't qualify as a secretary.

i graduated UBC with a psychology degree, now I am selling insurance.

Seems to be going ok... I just had my medical examination two days ago..
