Hi All,
My primary NOC I have chosen is 1225 - Purchasing agents and officers, since I have 3 years experience as a purchasing officer from my prvious employment. The employment requirements of CIC for this NOC is as follows:
o A bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or economics is usually required.
I have a bachelors degree in Business management.
o Purchasing agents and officers purchasing specialized materials or business services may require a related university degree or college diploma. For example, a bachelor's degree or college diploma in engineering may be required for purchasers of industrial products.
I understand that this is optional.
o A certificate in purchasing from the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) may be required.
Is it mandatory?
o Previous experience as a purchasing clerk or as an administrative clerk may be required.
Is it mandatory?
o Certification from the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) may be required.
Is it mandatory?
Please advise... I don't have these certificates and I believe those courses are conducted only in Canada.
