Hello All,

When they announce the results, does the NOC matter ? Or they just simply send an invite to all the applicants who are above the cutoff score ?
If they are simply looking at the EE score, then how would they be able to regulate the number of PR applicants for each profession ?

Please advise.

NOC matters for some PNP streams and FST. As for FSW applicants from outside of Canada, CIC has total control of the flow of applications by making the score as high or as low as they want it to be; they have all the statistics and trends at their disposal and can gauge it with labour market needs in order to satisfy their annual targets. Also, remember that EE puts the power in the hands of employers. Therefore, an employer who wants a particular skill set can essentially pick whoever he wants from the pool. (whether you apply directly to that employer or by job matching).
