Hello,

I am a CEC in-land Express applicant (Manitoba). I have a few queries.

I started working in a restaurant after my graduation as a restaurant supervisor in March 2018. I have been back home for 5 months since. By this 1st August, I had my 52 weeks of fulltime work experience done.

When I started, my pay was $13.5/hr, and this May it was bumped to $15/hr as my Role Changed to assistant manager.

All this time I have been working on average 32-35 hrs/week.

So my questions are:

  • What will be my main NOC?

6311 - Foodservice supervisors OR
0631 - Restaurant and food service managers

Any chance that my recent role as an Assistant manager still falls in NOC 6311 category as a Shift Manager? (I did have a variable schedule but at least 32-35 hrs/week). What is a shift manager BTW?

  • How would I proceed with 2 NOCS? like how is my Job letter should look like?
What main NOC would I select while creating my express entry profile?

Hope, I did not confuse you too. I would appreciate any response.

Thank you

Use both NOC in job experience , however you can choose assistant manager as primary noc, in letter specify both noc with time line and u can mention full time with atleast 30 hrs per week for both noc

You are asking questions that we cannot answer without the relevant information. NOCs are chosen on the basis of the lead statement and the job duties/responsibilities - not job title - and you have not provided these details.

And just because you got a raise and a new title does not mean that it will be a new NOC, if the job duties did not change.

I have requested employment letter from my employer. Once I have it, I will share the "duties" with you guys, for you opinion!

Do you know if we need high school credentials verified by WES if done back home, in my case Pakistan? And for spouse as well, would I need her High school credentials assessed too ?
