Hi Guys,

I need your help (opinion) regarding my current job if it's under Noc 6221, which is skilled or a different noc.

My wife and I will submit our EE application by next month, and I wonder if being a Sales Consultant in Virgin Plus is a skilled job here in Canada.

A little background:

Wife - Student Permit / currently working at The Source ( sales associate ) job description: selling telecommunication services
- 10 years telecommunication sales association back home
- BS Information Technology graduate
Me - Open work permit / currently working at Virgin Plus ( sales consultant ) job description: selling telecommunication services
- 10 years telecommunication sales associate
- 4 years telecommunication manager
- BS Business Management

You work in retail so 6421. Your backgrounds don’t matter. You match your job responsibilities in retail to the NOC which is NOC C. You need skilled employment to be eligible for EE. If you read the NOC, it states (and then lists all titles including yours), “Retail salespersons sell, rent or lease a range of technical and non-technical goods and services directly to consumers.”

You are not NOC 6221 because that NOC works directly with international and domestic producers and manufacturers. Your work is in retail.
