Hi Experts,

I have Part Time experience of 1.8 years while doing ME in Mumbai University. Can I count it as an experience?

I have seen that CIC won't accept part time experience while doing full time study. Anyone with same situation?

If u have accumulated over 1560 hrs u r fine. What u have described holds true if the education was completed in Canada . Outside Canada u r ok

I have NOC code 2173 as my primary occupation with more than a year of experience. But I need TA (4012) to make Total experience into 3 years.

I have 1.8 years of experience with 15 hours/week as Teaching Assistant. Can I add it into total experience?

Your year is completed when u reach 1560 hrs but not before completing 52 weeks. So u need to see how many weeks I worked in your secondary NOC?

But let's not deviate from the question. My question was can I add part time job while doing full time study.

If I work for 15 hours per week, I can take half of the experience ie 1.8/2 9 months, as per CIC

My concern is whether I can take this experience

I think u didn’t get what my mean.
U need to tell me the total number of weeks in first job, and total weeks in second job

1.NOC 2173 -- 1.10 years which could be equivalent to min. 88 weeks (with 40hrs/week)
CIC consider only 30 hours/week, so 88*30=2640 Hours

2. NOC 4012 --1.8 years is min. 80 weeks (15hours/week) =1200 hours (less than 1560)

3. NOC 4021 -- 10 months is 40 weeks.
40*30=1200 Hours.

But, I am asking if part time job during full time study can be considered for express entry. I saw in CIC website part time during full-time study won't be considered.

Yes u can count your TA Experience. It will give u points. The best way to know is by making a profile and see if system allows that. I m sure it will do in your case. Your 80 weeks part time experience can be translated as 40 weeks.

As far as I know u can count Experience gained outside Canada even if u r a full time time student
