Hi,
I have some concern regarding choosing my NOC . I worked as a Visiting Scholar at a Canadian University after my Masters degree in Canada. My job title (Visiting Scholar) falls under the NOC 4011 example titles. I was primarily responsible for conducting research and supporting undergraduate students' research projects. Since I have not done any teaching, I was wondering should I select NOC 4011 or 4012. My duties are more close to NOC 4012 although my job title falls under NOC 4011.

Also, the employment was on PGWP and I was not enrolled as a student during my employment.

Thanks in advance

As there is no "visiting scholar" title in 4012, you are having chance only for 4011.

I am also planning to apply under NOC 4011 - University lecturer. I have gathered all the required documents along with proof of funds, English test and ECA reports. However the ECA report I received mentions my MSc degree is equivalent in Canada is 4 years BSc degree!!

I have completed my BSc (3 Years), B.Ed (1 Year) and MSc (2 Years) with distinction grades in all the exams from Indian Unviversity. I also have 6 years experience in the same field.

My query is - Am I still eligible to apply under FSW even my ECA report shows my MSc degree is equivalent as Canadian BSc degree?? Please let me know your responses on urgent basis as I have very little time remaining to send my documents. Your help is much appreciated.

Sorry, but this advice will get people refused. JOB TITLE DOES NOT MATTER. The duties and responsibilities are what matter.

4012 is also a problem given that the code is supposed to be reserved for those enrolled in a study program (e.g. graduate research assistants).

"Visiting scholar" doesn't tell me anything about the field you are in. Find the NOC based on the type of research you do.
