I was wondering how much of a gap is allowed for work experience, and if this depends on circumstances.
Here is what happened: Worked part-time from May 2018 until the end of June 2019; then full time from September 2019 (still working full time).
This is NOC 4011 (university lecturer). Employed on a contract basis, each contract for a semester.
There is a gap in July and August because there were no courses to teach over that time (no contract for that time).
Then continued working normally in September.
Question: Is it possible to write a letter or a statement addressing this and fighting for it to be included as a continuous experience? NOC 4011 and 4012 (TA/RA) are a bit specific in that regard and it is a industry standard not to have classes over the summer.
What can be done here?
