Hi guys..this is quite repetitive but has anyone who applied in NOC 2171 heard from CIC? My application was received on 28th August but i still have no updates. Im really nervous and dont know how much more to wait.

Same here Sep 2 NOC 2171...
Something strange is happening on CIC side.

If the file is rejected after payment done (lack of min points 67 or similar stuff) NER email will be sent. If the file is returned before payment done (cap full or missing documents) application will be sent back with regular mail and will contain cover letter stating the reason for return and will not be sent an email from CIC.

May I know why you're saying that we can't apply for EE? As far as I know fsw and EE are independent processes.

FSW and EE are independant but when we apply for EE a question is asked if we have ever before applied for immigration to the same country. Then there are a lot of questions which are asked which u cant answer until u have received the rejection mail/letter...

have you tried filling online forms for EE already. If such is the application procedures, then people without any update will be loosing precious time

that's precisely what i'm worried about too, since my App was received on oct 24 and still no news. If i have to wait til my App is back i'll definitely not make the first EE cut.

Yes we will have to wait for the reply and that is a big problem. Guys do keep us updated if anyone hears anything from CIC

if i remember correctly, 2171 was capped very early. for Aug and Sept applicants, chances are you will receive your returned application.

So if I apply and state that I haven't applied even though I did, it will be seen as misrepresentation?

Has anyone called CIC to verify this? If you read the question 30 about Express Entry, it says you can apply to EE even if you have a pending application so as I understand it, it's a completely new one.
