My application reached CIO on 21st November for NOC1123. As per CIC's update Number of applications counted towards the 1,000 sub-cap are 482, and Pending applications (Complete applications waiting for MI Acceptance Review) are 340 as of 16th December.

I am not able to figure out if my application is in Cap.

Could anyone please help me in this?

Kindly understand the below activities of CIC:

(1) CIC receives application and keep them in waiting for their turn as per received dates.
(2) CIC opens applications for Completeness check.
(3) If application is found Complete than CC/DD Charged, otherwise if found incomplete than application is returned.
(4) Complete Applications which are charged undergo Ministerial Instruction (MI) Acceptance norms check. i.e, the time between CC/DD & PER.
(5) If Positive Eligibility Determination than PER email sent other wise NER email sent (and file returned).

Now, as per SS & Forum updates...

Please note that, for NOC 1123 latest CC is 5th,Oct'14, this indicates that completeness check is over for 1st-2nd week of Nov'14 applications. So, it seems your completeness check is yet not done. Thus, your application must be waiting for completeness check, which you can expect in next few days before year ends.

However, as of 16th,Dec'14 Cap updates, I guess your application does'nt count in any of counts (1) Number of applications counted towards the 1,000 sub-cap are 482, or (2) Pending applications (Complete applications waiting for MI Acceptance Review) are 340.

But, surely it will be within Cap as there is still a Balance of 178 (482+340=822; So, 1000-822=178) applications towards 1000 cap to be filled.

Basically, you are safe...

The new column means that:

480 - Completeness Check done + CC charged/in queue to b charged + all counted towards cap
340 - completeness check done + not all applications will be charged/some may b short on points + only some of them will be charged and included in the cap.

So effectively, 1123 may be, most likely, more than 178 away from the Cap.

Hope it explains properly.

but I'm originally from the coast myself.

Thank you, that would be awesome. It's such an anxious wait - am trying not to worry or stress about but i am finding the whole process and the waiting quite stressful esp as we seem close to hitting caps. Although i saw the comments saying that people think it will be a while till this NOC is actually capped.

It's a struggle to keep up with all the convo's on the forum too

Today I logged on CIC using my old UCI no and found out the they have accepted my application, It says "Your application has been received on 12th September 2014"

It means I can start celebrating, Yeah?

Good we have some demographic closeness. Yes, one can get overwhelmed with the amount of information one can get through this forum. I learnt that u have to have a tunnel vision and focus on the phase of application that I'm into.

Keep yourself busy and all shall workout properly. Ur PER is on the way. Many have got it having similar timelines like u.
