I am about to complete my one year as an administrator. Below is my job description and I am trying to match it with the NOC 1221. I have attached both below. Can you please advise if its a suitable match?View all titles
Main duties
Administrative officers perform some or all of the following duties:
  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures
  • Establish work priorities, delegate work to office support staff, and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
  • Carry out administrative activities associated with admissions to post-secondary educational institutions
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services, such as accommodation, relocations, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
  • Conduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting and project planning and management processes
  • Assist in preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
  • May supervise records management technicians and related staff.
My job Description :
  • Prepare plan member disclosure statements
  • Calculate Pension Adjustments (PAs), Pension Adjustment Reversals (PARs), and Past Service Pension Adjustments (PSPAs)
  • Prepare authorization of benefit payments
  • Complete government filings, such as Annual Information Returns (AIRs)
  • Review and analyze membership data
  • Maintain and update pension plan databases with member information
  • Reconcile contributions to, and payments from, pension funds
  • Liaise with fund custodian for payment authorizations and stop payments on death of member
  • Provide call and email support to client employers and pension plan members
  • Adhere to quality standards and best practices
  • Learn plan provisions and administration policies for assigned clients
  • Stay current with relevant laws and rules concerning pensions across Canada
  • Consult with clients on all matters of administration, including interpretation and best practices

· • Respecting financial deadlines as well as compliance with policies, rules and legislations

· Verifying non-financial transactions of colleagues

· Identifying problems, mudas and proposing viable solutions to improvement ideas through the different LEAN tools

· Preparing various reports and taxation slips for clients and authorities
