Can someone throw some light on the prospects of NOC 1123 in Canada?

As far as I recollect, this category was not fully subscribed i.e. it didn't receive 1000 applications in the last year's FSW category.

There are no NOC caps anymore.

1123 is Skill Level A and is valid for FSW, obviously if you satisfy the other eligibility requirements and score more than 67 points on the FSW grid.

I am aware of the fact that caps on NOC cease to exists now.

Does that mean that if I fulfill the necessary parameters and claim 67 points under FSW, I will get an invitation to apply under EE?

No, it means you are eligible to enter the pool of candidates, it doesn't guarantee that your profile will get drawn and you will receive an ITA.

Noted.

Also wanted to know, will they consider respective NOC's while sending invitation or will it be based only on high scores (irrespective of what NOC an applicant falls under)

As it stands CIC have made no mention of selecting specific NOCs, just that people will receive invitations in order of score from highest to lowest.

Although this doesn't preclude them from doing so in the future should there be specific shortages etc but at the moment there is no mention of this.

This sort of question has been asked a lot and once again, nobody knows :p

From what I've seen on this forum I think 400 is in the above average range however so you'd probably have a better chance than most.

According to the cic-newsletter e-mail of mid-November 2014,only 3 NOCs were capped till mid November 2014 i.e.
1. Financial and investment analysts (NOC 1112)
2. Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
3. Computer programmer and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)

So the ones with NOC 1123 need not to worry i think if whosoever's file has reached Canada by mid November 2014. After this newsletter they have not posted any info on NOCs being capped.

Anyone with updated info on this ????
