(NOC 1122) Qorax, PMM, Saki and all senior members please help...

Dear Sir,

I would please need your help, my case is as under for NOC 1122

I worked with The Times of India (Newspaper) from Sep 2006 to May 2009 and had then filed my case in July 2008 under NOC 0611 (which is for Sales, Marketing and Advertising Managers) as I was working in the advertisement department of the largest daily newspaper in India. But my application was returned as it did not fall under the then 38 occupation list.

Now, I realize that I am again eligible under NOC 1122, and since June 2009 I have worked with Baba Services an INS Accredited advertisement agency in Delhi and was handling their Chandigarh branch. And now I have recently made a shift (23rd June 2010) to an Outdoor advertising major Giraffe Advertising and Marketing Pvt. Ltd a Delhi based company and I am again handling their Chandigarh branch.

All throughout my JD's have matched with 1122 (since my days with The Times of India, when I had filed under NOC 0611). Am I eligible??? Will CIC say that earlier u had filed under NOC 0611 (Advertisement Managers) and now you are not eligible? Also will they have a record of my previous application, as I don't a copy of that now and don't remember what job duties and job titles did I write then...?

Also I read on the site that only 1000 application will be accepted, I want to ask as to how soon will these 1000 occupations get filled up???

Also do we have now to submit all our documents right now, at the time of filling the case???

I have also given IELTS on 10th April 2010 and got 8 bands (L-9, R-8, W-7, S-7)

I have done BBA (Marketing) and MBA Marketing...

Do I qualify???

Also when I filed in july 08 I filed under NOC 0611, now can I change the NOC of that period to 1122 as job duties of both 0611 and 1122 are similar?

Please reply, I am a new member and need ur assistance...

Did you study for at least 17 years?
How many years of work experience do you have (full time equivalent)?
I presume you are under 49.

Each of the above give you points. If you get 67, you qualify.

Another criteria that you need to fulfill is one year of experience in a job from the list within the last 10 years. It sounds like 1122 fulfills this for you. You should look at the job duties of 1122 from the HRSDC website and see if you do the job duties mentioned there. If you do most of the job duties, you qualify. From what you say, it sounds like you qualify on this criteria but only you can really say because no one on this forum knows your actual job duties.

My education is 10+2+3 and then did my full time 2 years Post Graduate Diploma in Management in marketing stream from IIPM (Indian Institute of Planning and Management) New Delhi.

My wife is also a Post Graduate, so I think I will get points for that as well... have no kids at the moment.

when I filed in 2008 i showed my NOC as 0611, but now when I refile can I change it to 1122, as duties are the same and I perform almost all of them, or should I write both NOC's 0611 and 1122 for that period???

Then you can add your wife's points accordingly
* Secondary school (high school) diploma or less: 0 points
* A one-year diploma, trade certificate, apprenticeship or university degree, and at least 12 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 3 points
* A two or three-year diploma, trade certificate, apprenticeship or university degree, and at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 4 points
* A master’s degree or PhD and at least 17 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 5 points

So you should qualify on points. The rest depends on whether you have done the duties of the 1122 or not. Good luck.
Whether they will believe that you did 0611 and 1122, they should because 1122 seems like a genuine job that you did after you had applied to CIC the first time.

Did you write 0611 for all your job experience prior in your first application? 0611 is management and they will doubt you went into management as your first job.

Yes sir, I wrote 0611 for all occupations in my earlier application... but 0611 is not only for management but also for advertising managers (Sales, Marketing and Advertising Managers)...

I also did 2 years Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, do I need to provide transcripts for it in university sealed envelops??? I read in a thread somewhere that u only need to send ur degree transcripts in university sealed envelops and not Diplomas... Please clarify...

You should send any transcript for which you claim points, in a seal envelope.
