No Visa extension confirmation email?

So i've just applied for an extension and have received no confirmation/instructions on what's gonna happen next?? Is this normal or am i supposed to wait until i get an approval/refusal email??

Im talking about visitor visa extension, sorry for the confusion lol ;D

Till they reply you back you can stay in the country, the date which you have applied to them should be vaild on your visa time.
