No update on TRV application- philippines

should i be receiving updates for my trv application aside from the confirmation messages?

I'm not sure about the Philippines, but I applied in Singapore and it was a pretty quick process!

I got three messages :

1st March
-Visa application, tracking ID No. xxxxxxxxxxxx has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office, Singapore on (date)
10th March
-Visa application, tracking ID No. xxxxxxxxxxxx Your processed application has been sent to the Canada Visa Application Centre for collection on (date)
13th March
-Visa application, tracking ID No. xxxxxxxxxxxx has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Singapore on (date)

Hi, when did you apply? I submitted my application online last march 6 and there's no update stll.

Sometimes you get updates, sometimes you do not.

Hi Coxie,

Usually you received 3 total updates:
1. Confirmation of Online Application Transmission
2. Submission Confirmation - February 18, 2017
3. Hopefully Passport request

Waiting too - lodged Feb 18 - it's weird coz my mom got her approval after 8 days.

Hi, when did you apply? I submitted my application online last march 6 and there's no update stll.

Submitted online on March 7.

I received 3 updates,

2 of them being the confirmation of submission on March 7.

1 is a ghost update on March 8. It said that my application has been updated and that i need to check mail but there was no update when i checked on cic site.

After that, no more updates.
