No update after biometrics, tickets booked for this month

I had applied for visitor visa to canada for myself/my wife and my kid and for me and my daughter the processing went fine and the passports have been fedex-ed to canada for stamping. For my wife, after biometrics on 11th, there has been no update.. i used the webform to raise a query on 17th and got a reply after approximately 10 days saying it is in progress. I am concerned whether to keep my bookings or cancel them for later this month as now i am not sure when this visa might be approved for my wife and how long it will take

Is there any way to contact cic and let them know of the situation.

The webform is really all you can do. We do not advise buying tickets until the visa is on hand so that is up to you what to do.

Processing can take as long as it needs to. Even if you applied together, there will never be a guarantee that all will be processed at the same time or even approved.
