Hello,

We submitted our common law outland application in May. The package was received on May 31st. We are American citizen and Canadian (Quebec resident). We still have not received any email, mail or other notice. We still have not received the AOR or a ID number to link to the online account. Is this a normal processing time? What are the next steps if we still don't hear anything? When should reach out for more information?

Thanks in advance for your answers! This forum has been incredibly helpful for us as we've been going through this process.

Yes, it can take some time to get the AoR, though I don't think it usually takes longer than 2 months. You're sure you sent it to the right address - CPC Nova Scotia?

Yes. We sent it to the Sydney office. I guess I'll wait until July 31st.

We put my sponsor's email...they should send an email right?

Any suggestions for what to do next if we don't hear anything by two months?

Do you have a UCI number for your spouse? If not, then I'm not sure how you could order the GCMS notes. You can try calling IRCC and asking for help; they should be able to provide some information based on your date of birth, name, and address.

Thanks, both...this is super helpful. I'll just be patient as it looks like 49 days is about average for May applications. I don't have a UCI yet. But will think about calling in a few weeks if I still don't hear anything. Thanks again !!
