Last year I created an EE profile for me and my family in hopes of migrating to Canada one day. A few weeks ago, we got the good news: we’ve received an ITA.
As part of my document checklist, I’m supposed to provide proof of cohabitation with my common-law partner. And despite living with my partner for more than the required one year, we’ve just realized that we have no proof of cohabitation.
My partner moved in with me but never bothered to update the address on any of our ID or papers as it is a long and difficult process in our country.
In addition to filling the common law form, I will be providing the following documents as proof:
1- The birth certificate of our son mentioning both of us as parents.
2- Relationship pictures.
3- Support letters from family and friends
4- “Cohabitation certificate” from our country of residence signed by a judge.
Will these proofs be enough. If not, what are my options? Is it too late to get married?
