Just want to share my experience of driving with US plate to Canada. On June 10, 13, I drove to Windsor from Detroit. The officer checked my landing paper and passport and asked me why I am here. I told him for the license exam, just one day. Then he let me go, did not mention the US plate issue. My plan B is that if they insist asking me to import car, I will go back to Detroit and rent a car.
