Hi All,
I am planning to apply for a visitor visa for my in laws and the problem here is that they do not have a marriage certificate. We have approached the register office but they have declined our request to give the certificate.

My mother in laws passport clearly states that my father in laws name as the spouse.Apart from that they have the ration card and the Adhar card which state the same. Now, they have also made an affidavit of the marriage.

My wife's passport also mentions both their names.

Will this be enough to prove their marriage?? If not, please suggest.

It is NOT necessary to submit your in-laws marriage certificate for their TRVs.

Their passports and your wife's passport which indicate how they are related to each other and to your wife will suffice.

You can also submit your wife's birth certificate to show that they are her parents..... this will also help.

All the best :)
