I work in the real estate department at a pension fund in Toronto. The organization invests in real estate, to create a financial return for pension contributors. By background, I am from the UK, and I am a qualified Chartered Surveyor having working doing Asset Management for an Investment Management company

My job title is - Analyst, Office Asset Management

Responsibilities

- Complete annual Asset Management Plans and develop tools to track performance against this plan.
- As part of the Asset Management Plan finalize and agree on the operating budget for each asset
- Understand a long-term 10 year cash flow to assess optimum hold/sell objectives to maximise financial return
(Asset Management Plans set the vision, goals and strategic investment objectives of each real estate investment).
- Undertake quarterly reviews to to asset how investments are performing over time against budget.
- Work collaborative with internal stakeholders to maximize returns and asset value by driving rent and undertaking active asset management.
(this includes leading analysis on key leasing transactions, reinvestment opportunities, and significant expense management initiatives)
- Undertake ongoing tenant credit health assessments, to evaluate financial risk of each assets.
- Manage Co-Ownership Investor Relationships (Gain understanding of co-owner return hurdles, reporting requirements, investment goals)
- Undertake benchmarking to assess performance against competitive peer group.
- Work collaboratively with the Office Research and Valuations teams to drive the implementation, utilization and monetization analytics data to support Leasing, Operations and Marketing efforts.

Having reviewed all the different NOC codes I think that I align most with '1112 Financial and Investment Analysts' - but I don't meet many of the different duties that the description mentions? I am a qualified surveyor so not sure whether to consider '2154 Land Surveyors'.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

J
