No Given name for Express entry

I’m doing express entry application and it is mandatory to give last name and given name. My passport has my full name under given name. I found this on cic:

“Your surname is your family name. It is also called your “last name.” When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document.”

Do not use initials.

If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”

However, I can’t leave the Given name blank as it is a mandatory field, did anyone face the same issue. Any suggestions

If the form doe snot allow you to leave the filed blank, enter the given name in both fields.

In the personal history section, can you please share your expertise here. What category does INTERNSHIP fall under - EMPLOYMENT or STUDENT? If I choose student, then it asks if degree was granted or not. If I select employment, then it does not ask for anything like this? What is the correct option and if it is student, then what to select the answer - 'At the completion of the program, degree granted or not' ?
