No dependants and form IMM 0008

I have a problem with form IMM 0008 and the dependant section. I am the applicant and have no dependants. I have 3 children all grown up and financially independant, all canadian citizens. My application was returned because I did not include any info about dependants. I had deleted this section because the form wouldn’t validate if I left it blank or wrote NA for not applicable. I need to re-submit it but I don’t know how to deal with this. Please help.

Not really clear what you mean by 'deleting the section', definitely that will cause issues.

Can't really say what to do with the IMM0008 not validating except for starting over with a completley blank electronic form from scratch.

Given what you had happen when you submit would make sure of the following:
-You still must show the children in the additional family info form;
-include a short Letter of Explanation that app was returned before because of this omission but children are NOT in the IMM0008 because citizens (include eg copies of proof of citizenship for them) and why they are independent (older than 22 or married).

But in your case the children would not have been included anyway on IMM0008 because they are citizens - citizens can't be included as applicants for PR (of course). Still msut show them on additional family info, and best to include letter of explanation so that it is explicit.

Thank you for answer. Form IMM 0008 is not desiigned for an applicant without dependents. It should have a yes/no question regarding dependents. I followed your advice and re-submitted my application with very detailed explanation letter as to why I had to Remove Dependent in order to validate the form. Thanks again.
